2019 Post-Race Wrap-Up
We had an absolute blast organizing the 2019 JTARF and we really hope you had a great experience too! Before we get into all the post-race stuff, we want to send a huge thank you to all of our volunteers who absolutely worked their tails off to make the event a success.
And now, without further ado, here’s the skinny on all you need to know about JTARF 2019.
Race Results: Race results went online in real time, and can still be found at www.secondwindtiming.com (Overall super-trifecta results will be up within the next day or two).
Missing Race Results: Because of the weather on Sunday, we had a few issues with chip tracking. (Water and heavy sweatshirts don’t exactly boost an RFID signal). If you are missing your results, our photographer took video of the finish line. E-mail us at email@example.com with your race and approximate finish time, and we’ll be sure to “check the tape” and get you a time.
Awards: If you won an award but did not pick it up at the event, we will mail it to you. Feel free to e-mail us your proper mailing address at firstname.lastname@example.org
Photographs: Our professional photographer, Pat Hendrick Photography, has already sent you an e-mail with a link to the pics. If your bib was visible, he will also send a link to your specific pics. If you have pics of your own and you’re in the mood for tagging, use #runjimthorpe, or simply tag The RUNegades, or share it to our page.
RUNegades and JTARF Gear: If you’d like to purchase RUNegades gear or an extra shirt from the 2019 JTARF, you can do so at www.runjimthorpe.com
5K/10K Virtual Option: We know that some of you didn’t make it out on Sunday because of the torrential downpour, but you really wanted that sweet medal! If you GPS track and complete a virtual run around the racecourse at Owl Creek, we will be happy to send you the appropriate medal. (Now, if you came out there in the rain and feel like you suffered to get your medal and that this virtual run thing on a nice sunny day might be just a little unfair, please consider that a medal represents much more than just some bling. It’s a whole experience. And if you were out there in the rain and the cold and you pushed yourself to finish, then your experience was epic, and so is that medal).
Like us on FB and join us for a run! If you enjoyed yourself and want to come run with us (or get info on our upcoming races ASAP) like us on FB @theRUNegades, or join our private group message page.
Survey: If you participated in the JTARF, you received an e-mail with a link to a survey. We are always looking for ways to improve for you and would be grateful if you took a moment to fill it out.
Keep an eye out for JTARF 2020, (now with full marathon!) opening soon. We’ll send you an e-mail with a special offer for our past participants as soon as it opens up. (Or join our mailing list on www.runjimthorpe.com)
If you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to email us at email@example.com.
And one final note—thank you! We don’t have the final number yet, but you helped us raise thousands of dollars for Turn to Us. We are so very grateful that you decided to join us, and we hope to see you in 2020.
