When can I pick up my bib?
For the half marathon, there are two ways to pick up your bib and race T-shirt. You can attend our expo on Friday May 10th from 12 pm to 8 pm at the Inn at Jim Thorpe (24 Broadway) or we will mail your bib and T-shirt for a $12 fee.

For the 5K, 10K, and team relays, you can pick up the bib at our expo, have it mailed to you, or pick it up near the starting area on race day. **NOTE**There is no day-of packet pick-up for the half marathon.

If I choose to have my packet mailed, when will I get it?
We will mail out packets in mid-April. 

What if I forget my half-marathon bib on race day?
You will be able to purchase a replacement bib near the starting area for $25. 

Can I pick up a packet for someone else?
Yes! You can pick up someone else's packet, as long as you have a copy of their photo ID. A picture of their ID on your phone will do just fine!

Is there a course time limit?

Yes. Participants must maintain a minimum pace of 18:00 min/mile. That is roughly a 4 hr. half-marathon.

Does the race accept walkers?

Yes. As long as they can walk at a minimum pace of 18:00 min/mile (roughly a 4 hr. half-marathon). 

Is the race stroller-friendly?

Unfortunately, there are a few tricky spots that are not conducive to strollers. 

Will there be a bag-check?
Unfortunately, due to safety considerations and municipal regulations, we will not offer any bag check. Participants may leave their gear with spectators or in their cars. The Carbon County Municipal Lot is about a quarter-mile from the finish area. 

Where should spectators congregate?
There will be a few areas from which to cheer racers on. Spectators can see racers at Mauch Chunk Lake Park from miles 6-9. They can also see racers finish at the intersection of Packer Hill Ave and Center Ave.

Where should I park for the half-marathon?
Because Jim Thorpe is a quaint mountain town, parking will most definitely be limited. No matter where you park, you'll have to take a brief shuttle ride to our starting area. Shuttles will be available to return you to your car after the event.

The easiest option: Purchase a Mauch Chunk Lake Festival Parking Pass ($5) with your registration. It will allow you to park at Mauch Chunk Lake. This guarantees you a spot in a specific lot on race day. To encourage car pooling, if three or more runners arrive in your car, you will receive a full refund for your parking pass. 

Another option: Park in the Carbon County Municipal lot about three-tenths of a mile from the finish area for $6. This lot is on a first-come-first-served basis. Once it is full, runners will be directed to one of our overflow lots, which will be free, but will require longer a shuttle ride. 

Where should I park for the 5K, 10K, and Team Relay?
You can park in the lots and on the road around Owl Creek Reservoir.

Should I carpool?

Yes! For the love of everything, please carpool. 

Where should spectators park?

Spectators can park at Mauch Chunk Lake (if they have a parking pass) or at the Carbon County Municipal Parking Lot. The finish line is roughly 3-tenths of a mile from the Carbon County Lot. Those 3-tenths are basically straight uphill. 

Can I run with my dog?
We here at the RUNegades are huge pooch fans, but because the course is tight in some places (and because insurance people are tight in some places) we cannot allow dogs on the half marathon course this year. 

What is the race policy on refunds/deferrals/bib transfers?
We do not offer refunds or deferrals. However, participants can transfer their bibs to other runners through the Run Signup website for a $25 fee.

What is the participant cap?

The half marathon will be capped at 1500 runners. The 5K/10K and team relays will be capped at 500 runners. 

Will there be restrooms along the route?

Yes, we will have plenty of portable toilets at strategic intervals along the route.

Is there a rain date?

Nope. All festival events will happen rain or shine (or snow).

Where can I volunteer? 

We need volunteers for every aspect of the race--from Friday bib pickup to Sunday cleanup (and everything in between). If you'd like to volunteer, please contact our volunteer coordinator, Tristan Edwards-Wright, at info@runegades.com OR just e-mail the race. 

What's up with the pre-race pasta dinner?

The Broadway Grill at the Inn at Jim Thorpe will offer a pre-half pasta buffet on Friday May 11th. If you're interested, we need to know! So, let us know. 

Do you love me?

While this is technically a "frequently asked question," it is not a frequently asked question for this race. However, yes. We love you.
